We are often advised that, in order to save on heating, we should change old windows, isolate the house better or install a new boiler ... And in the long term it is true, but not everyone can afford such an investment . Luckily, there are a series of practices that will allow us to keep our house warm by saving on gas and electricity. And it's not about anything sophisticated: they are common sense things that we had stopped doing thinking that the heat in our home would always be guaranteed.

5 IDEAS TO MAINTAIN A WARMER HOME SAVING ON YOUR INVOICE

.We are often advised that, in order to to save on heating, we should change old windows, isolate the house better or install a new boiler ... And in the long term it is true, but not everyone can afford such an investment. Luckily, there are a series of practices that will allow us to keep our house warm by saving on gas and electricity. And it's not about anything sophisticated: they are common sense measures that we stopped doing, thinking that the heat in our home would always be guaranteed.

1. KEEP YOUR HOME AT 20ºC

The ideal temperature so as not to get cold and not waste money is 20º. For each additional grade, the expense increases by 7%.

2. WARM CARPETS

Carpets help to give warmth to a cold floor, such as marble or natural stone, as well as framing areas inside the living room. If they are made of fibers, brown and ocher tones will warm the room in the coldest months and, in addition, they will give a pleasant natural touch.

Another option is wool carpets, warm in winter and cool in summer. Avoid those with long hair, because they accumulate more dust. Those with short hair and dense knots and partially synthetic are very practical.

3. CURTAINS

The heat escapes mostly through the windows. One way to avoid it is to dress them up with thick fabric curtains, such as velvet or rustic linen. In addition to sheltering the windows, they are elegant and comfortable. Remember to open the curtains when the sun shines on the windows, so you will heat up for free. Keep in mind that opening the windows 10 minutes a day.is enough to ventilate.

4. FIND THE RIGHT HEATING SYSTEM

An alternative that is very useful and profitable is blue heat. We call this the last generation electric radiators, which are an evolution of the classic electric oil radiators since they also use heating elements to heat. More specifically, these electric blue heat radiators contain a heat transfer fluid called "Blue Sun"

Its main feature is that they use probes to control the temperature, so they are more precise and avoid wasting energy.

Although they are very similar to common radiators, blue heat radiators or blue energy radiators differ from these in that, on the one hand, a special fluid conducive to heat circulates inside them (substitute for the oil) and, on the other, in that they have a timer. This device to regulate the temperature from the radiator itself is very useful to control it in an easy and agile way.

5. LOWER THE BLINDS TO AVOID HEAT LEAKS

The light that comes in the morning at home and heats floors and walls gives way to the cold in a few hours. The blinds are very useful to avoid heat leaks, so they should be lowered as soon as the temperature drops. If you act in this way, the house will remain warm in the afternoon and for much of the night.
